A stranded kayaker was rescued on the Tennessee River by the Chattanooga Fire Department on Saturday after being unable to travel upstream.
According to CFD, 911 dispatch received a call around 6:11 p.m. from the kayaker, who was unable to return upstream to Coolidge Park.
CFD Fire Boat 1 responded and assisted the kayaker.
